Business Plan: Software, Samples, Online Tools & Consulting

Fast4Cast offers free business plan software, samples, online tools and provides consulting. The business plan software includes an online word processor and financial statements which can be edited online. The application integrates the business plans text, forecasted financial statements, supporting schedules and graphs into one document which can be save as a word file or viewed online. Upon request, consulting is provided at reasonable rates.

Software

With the online Fast4Cast application you can easily build a complete, well formatted business plan without installing any software. Since there is nothing to install, you can start immediately and our cost is much lower (so low we can offer the service for free!).

Write the text portion of your business plan using our online word processor which includes sample business plans and business plan outlines. At any time you can save your business plan as a word document. You even can cut and paste text from/to your word document to/from the online text editor.

A complete business plan requires integrated forecasted financial statements along with supporting graphs and schedules. You don't need to be an accountant to build the forecasted financial statements. The financial statements for 20 types of small businesses are already built. All you need to do is select your industry and then make minor adjustments to fit your forecast.

The program also has built in graphing capabilities (see the sample graphs page).

Tools /Calculators

If you don't want to write a full business plan, but just need to make a few calculations then you are welcome to use our free online tools/ calculators. When you are done you to save the reports to your PC as excel documents.

A Break Even Analysis calculates the sales volume (in units) required to just cover costs. A lower sales volume would be unprofitable and a higher volume would be profitable. Break-even analysis focuses on the relationship between fixed cost, variable cost (or cost per unit), and selling price (or selling price per unit). The Breakeven calculator generates a graph which can be saved to your PC as an image and a table which can be saved as an excel file.

The Start Up Calculator builds two important statements for new businesses:

  • The Start Up Expenses Schedule - Essentially a list of expenses for starting your business. And
  • A Beginning Balance Sheet - A list of your Companies Assets (i.e. Cash, Equipment, etc.), Liabilities (credit card debt, loans, etc) and Owners Equity (money you have invested in the Company).

The start up calculator will help you determine how much cash you will need to start a business. To build the statements you will need to know the following:

  • Your expenses related to starting the company.
  • The assets (cash, equipment, etc.) that you will invest in the company.
  • The money that you will owe for the assets invested above.

When you are done entering the information you can save the statements to your PC as excel documents or simply view them online.

The Loan Calculator can handle term (i.e. 36, 48 months, etc.) or fixed payment loans (the same amount each month, typical of credit cards). The calculator generates a Loan Amortization schedule which breaks down the interest and principle portions of each payment. The calculator can also handle additional principle payments. The loan amortization schedule can be viewed online or download to an excel spreadsheet.

The Cash Requirements Calculator will help you determine how much cash you will need to start a business and it will help you build the necessary financial reports. Financial reports are already built for the twenty most common small business types. You will be able to see your Company's monthly projected cash balance for its first year of business. If the cash balance is negative or below what you consider to be a safe amount, then you can either enter equity investments and/ or a loan.
